The stone circle is believed to be complete and forms an almost perfect circle. There are 19 granite stones which are equally spaced out with a slightly bigger gap on the east side which is probably the entrance. The circle is just over 77 foot in diameter.

It is said the stone circle came about after 19 maidens were turned to stone for dancing on a Sunday, at the time of the early Christian Church were trying to stop pagan habits
