Kemper Arena American Royal Centre was built in 1974 and was the project of the architect Helmut Jahn, it is an indoor arena that seats 19,500. It was named after R Crosby Kemper who donated $3.2 million dollars from his estate towards the costs of the arena.

The arena is home to the Kansas City Brigade who are in the Arena Football league, it is also used for many other things such as hosting the NCAA Final Four basketball games and the American Royal livestock show.

In 1979 part of the roof collapsed due to heavy rain and strongs winds, luckily no one was hurt, the repairs were done and it reopened within a year.

Kemper Arena is where Owen Hart sadly died after falling 78 feet from the rafters during a wrestling match.

There is said to be sounds of sights of an unknown orign and flickering lights at the arena, this is said to happen mainly at night time. With no known cause.
