dobbins HotelDobbin’s was built in the 13th century by a Norman knight Reginald D Aubin.  Inside near the reception is a priest hole where they use to say mass at times when it was outlawed by the crown.  Before becoming a hotel in 1946 the building as been used for many other things such as a armoury, family castle and a gaol.  The current owners who have continued the hotel business have been there since 1978. The hotel is said to be haunted by Maude, a broken hearted ghost, who is known to stroke the faces of sleeping guests.
