Crumplehorn Inn and Mill Cornwall PDF Print E-mail
crumplehornThe area, where the inn and mill stands, can be traced back to the Doomsday Book. The building itself as had many uses including a counting house during the Elizabethan times and a home for Zephaniah Job who was known as the smugglers banker, as this used to be a favourite place for smugglers to come to.  The mill most recently used for corn was shut in 1950. The inn we know of today was opened in 1972.  The original mill wheel collapsed due to age but it has since been replaced and been restored to working condition.  There are a few ghosts that still roam around the inn; the most reported are that of a young lady and an elderly gentleman. Also noises such as whispering and doors latching are heard.
