This is the practice of telling a persons characteristics or future by reading the palm of their hand. Various lines and bumps interpret different things, the hand that is normally read is the one that the person writes with or uses the most. It seems that palmistry has been around since the stone age since many drawings of hands have been found in prehistoric caves and throughout history there as been evidence of the use of palm reading or finger prints E.g the Emperor of China used his thumbprint to seal documents in 3000 BC, the physician Hippocrates 130- 200 AD was knowledgeable about the subject and in 1901 Scotland Yard began to use fingerprinting in criminal investigations. Today palmistry is accepted practice throughout the world.
