The mill was built in 1910 to produce wool products. It was powered by the Winooski River. The mill closed in 1954 and was then used as a warehouse until 1981, when it was restored. It is now a variety of shops, businesses and a heritage museum.
The building is thought to be haunted with a couple of apparitions being seen. Children’s voices are often heard as well as the sound of the old machinery and water gushing around in the basement.
