 Ransom Bradley had always wanted to build a high class theatre; he got what he wanted when in 1892 he brought a corner property which with the design and construction by Charles H Kelly was replaced with the Bradley Playhouse. The build was completed in 1901. The playhouse was exquisite in design and there were no poor seats. During its history it has undergone changes the most extensive being after 2 fires which were just 14 hours apart, the entire interior was renewed and remodelled. The playhouse as also had different names including The Old Homestead. Besides it name the theatre as continued to change and grow to be in keeping with the times. Paranormal reports from the playhouse include strange noises being heard, things being moved such as the seats and apparitions being seen.
