In the 1800s a farmer and his wife were expecting their fifth child, as they were poor and the crops of the year had been bad, they really could not afford to have the child, unbeknown to his wife he had arranged with the doctor that when the child was born they would get rid of the baby and tell his wife that the baby had died during birth. When the lady gave birth they carried out what they had planned and when the doctor left he took the baby with him and went to a nearby bridge and threw him over the side, the wife never found out the truth.

Now it is said the cries of the baby can sometimes be heard, and on a cloudless night if you sprinkle baby powder on the floor, that a few minutes later footprints will appear.
