Annesley HallIt was built as a hunting lodge in 1156 and over the years was added to therefore resulting into a hall. Ralph Fitz-Hubert a Norman Lord was granted the manor by William the Conqueror. They were Lord of the manor until the 15th century. It was then owned by the Chaworths from 1442 when George Chaworth married Alice de Annesley. Mary Chaworth (1785 -1832) also lived at the house she was the childhood sweetheart of the poet Lord Byron, who had a room there, and was subject in some of his poems. The love was unrequited and Mary married John Musters in 1805, and when she inherited the house, it became the property of Chaworth - Musters. They owned the property until 1973. The property has been owned by a builder since 1980s, and was devastated by fire in 1997, it is unsure what will happen to the property.

The paranormal activity that has been noted are a black figure of an old man in the laundry room, a man wearing a hat in the breakfast room and a young women in the old servants quarters
